What
Does A Holistic Psychotherapist Do?
Sees
the client from a body, mind and spirit perspective
Believes
that all people have the resources to overcome any problem and any illness
and that with guidance from the psychotherapist they can heal themselves
using those resources.
Doesn’t
regard the client as “mentally ill” or as having a psychiatric disorder
~ assigns no diagnosis.
Focuses
on what is right with the client not just on
what is wrong.
Works
from within the client’s own values, opinions and beliefs to help him
discover and eliminate barriers to healing physical or mental ailments.
These barriers may involve unresolved inner conflict, trauma,
negative emotions, limiting decisions or problem relationships.

How
Many Therapy Sessions Will I Need?
While every situation is different, the therapy techniques used at Pathways Center usually produce major change in as few as four or five hours. These hours are usually condensed into two sessions spaced a week apart.
